Anyone with a 2022 NX 450h+ get the factory installed Towing Package? My car came with the Towing Package, a $160 option, but I am unable to get an explanation from Lexus regarding what exactly the package contains. A Lexus representative from the East Coast (I'm in Calif) responded to my question but was unable to provide specifics other than "it can tow 2000 lbs."
Previous Lexus models with a Towing Package have included upgraded radiators or other cooling system parts, possible suspension changes, but so far it seems for my $160 option not sure I got anything but ink on the window sticker. Hoping someone else has looked into this. Thanks for any help! BTW, perhaps it's just a profit padding, and the car delivered had dealer installed front side window tinting (dealer says they do this for all their cars). Since I waited 6 months, and totally happy I got it at MSRP, and was generally treated throughout the process very well, I am of course very happy with the car, though only driven it about 5 miles so far. Got it home, garaged it, waited for appointment with PPF and Ceramic Coating shop. Get the car back this week! Then the learning curve begins!

 

If the logic is the same as in Europe, The 160 dollars are for the pre-wiring of the towing hook

 

I dealership told me it adds a transmission oil cooler and a slightly larger radiator. So far, I think I've seen maybe 20 window stickers for different NXs, and Every one of them so far has this option.

Sounds plausible. I just wish Lexus USA would confirm! Unlike previous generation models with a "Tow Package" there is no written documentation of upgraded mechanical equipment (that I have seen). Thanks for the info!
