Default Wheel Bolt Pattern

Hi,

Anyone know what the bolt pattern is now? I noticed the 2nd gen using lug bolts instead of nuts now.

It appears to be the Lexus/Toyota standard size, 5×114.3 (aka 5×4.5), center bore 60.1.

Interesting how they would change over to lug bolts like European Cars. Was it like this for the previous gen?

The lug bolts are new for NX. Toyota explained the reason as follows in a press release:

"The wheel fastening structure has been changed from stud bolt and hub nut fastening to hub bolt fastening. By increasing rigidity and reducing unsprung weight (approx. 0.7kg less than when the hub nut is fastened), it contributes to a clean and responsive steering feel and a high quality ride."

I am not the tech guy, but does this imply that changing or upgrading from the factory wheels to higher quality wheels (such as forged wheels) may be more difficult or impossible?

This is definitely helpful when looking for winter rims. If anybody has the full specs for the 20" and 18" (downsizing) it will be helpful for all members.

Factory wheels are excellent quality. For winter rims that look nice and are not the plain black steel wheels with the wrong offset...

I don't know if I am allowed to advise members of checking out wheels specifically for a new NX or not....

Sorry to mods if I should not have posted this...

Check out RWC wheels, winter collection, put in specific vehicle...they have wheels that fit properly, better offset, correct center bore and proper lug nut spacing.

I have used RWC wheels and have zero issues.

One of the Lexus dealers sells them in my city as, in stock and ready to go, specifically for a 2022 NX. I am going down to 18" for winter

I'm definitely going to 18" for winters, but trying to find the right specs and start shopping for the winter as it's close to end of winter season. Just want the right offset and center bore so that I don't need another set of lug nuts etc...

I asked Victor G on this YT channel and he has confirmed the thread size for the lug bolts are M14x1.5.
unfortunately bolt pattern is still an unknown it seems.

I have a set of left over Superspeed wheels in 18 x 8.5 from my Tesla that I used for summer. The bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 and ET35 that I will try the fit once my 350h arrive. The NX 18 inch wheels are only 7.5” in width and the centre bore is 60.1. But I don’t foresee any fitment issue once I receive the step down hub rings.
