Never used lug bolts before, anyone have fitment issues with lug bolts on aftermarket wheels? Been using nuts my whole life and always used the spline drive type from mcgard.

I have had BBS and Enkei wheels on European cars using lug bolts and never had fitment issue. The only issue I had was to align the holes when mounting the wheels before I got a pair of wheel alignment pins.

According to the owner's manual for my 350h, there is a resin guide pin under the mat in the back of the car.

That’s good to know. It is easier to use two pins to mount the wheels.

It turns out there is no guide pin included, and my reading comprehension is not what it should be. I was focused on the pages that show where the guide pin is located, and how to use it. I totally missed the part that states: "As your vehicle is equipped with run-flat tires or an emergency tire puncture repair kit, the following tools for replacing a tire are not included with your vehicle. They can be purchased at your Lexus dealer. Jack, Jack handle, Wheel bolt socket, Guide pin, Wheel bolt wrench." The car did come with a towing eyelet and a screwdriver.

Anyone know what size guide pins fit the 450h+ 20 inch wheels?

I just tested it out the M14 x 1.5 guide pin works for my 350h, 450h+ should be the same.

When you took the wheel bolts off, was it a 10mm allen, or a special socket?

Also, since you have the guide bolt, did you buy the whole kit? (jack, guide bolt special socket etc)

I pulled a bolt to see what it looked like. They are not conical and they are not flat type seating. They are the ball type seating so I assume they have to take that type of wheel.

When you pulled the bolt, what tool did you use? I haven't actually measured yet, but it appears to be a normal hex socket on the smaller side

I would physically look at the car, but it is currently at the dealer

I think they are 17 mm IIRC and a socket of this size works fine. My wife just drove away so I can't check for sure.

Can anyone confirm the size of the lug bolts you use for the 18 inches rims? I need to get some bolts for my winter tires. Can I just use the lug bolts from the original 20 inches rim? Thanks

14 X 1.5 with a ball type seat for the 2022 18" wheels. Minimum 7 thread engagement as I recall. 20"?.
Aftermarket rims may be different. IMO it is best to take out a bolt and confirm it is correct seating and length for the wheel you are buying.

My oem rims are 18 inches, same size as my winter set. I used the same lug bolts for my aftermarket rims except I can’t use the wheel lock bolts. The wheel lock key diameter is too big to fit, so I am just using a nornmal lug bolt for the time being.
