Default 2022 vs 2025 tray

I wonder if you can tell the old and new parts apart by looking at them. I do want to make sure my NX has the updated one. Anyone want to take closeup pictures to compare?
I have a 2022 which does not connect with my Pixel 8 - case or no. I just got a 2025, and as you can see, the charging tray is larger than the 2022. It now works perfectly with my phone, so I am wondering if the 2025 has the "updated" part?

It certainly is not the fastest charging, but at least it charges... it will occasionally report it had stopped, but will then start right back up on it's own.
Here is the charging tray from my 2025. Is this what the updated model looks like? I have a 2022, and the pad on the tray is smaller than my 2025.

This should be the new part # for this charger 861C0-F6020, the one I got replaced on my NX was 861C0-F6010 which fixed iphones but does not work with Pixel phones. So the 6020 should work.

Would you be able to post a pic of your updated charger to compare? Thanks.

Mine is looks like the original one with the smaller silicone pad. The newer one is the bigger silicone pad, which I haven't replaced.

Default Charging tray replaced under warranty

I complained about the tray to the service manager multiple times. I pointed out that our Hyundai Kona charges perfectly but our 80K Lexus does not work at all. He was able to swap out the tray for the replacement part under warranty. All good now. Don't give up!

My wife just bought a new iPhone 15 Plus and the wireless charger doesn't work for her new phone.(it worked fine on her old phone) It actually starts charging for a few second when you place the new Phone on the charger but then the light on the charger tray starts blinking and it won't charge. I will make a appointment with Lexus and see if they will replace the charger under warranty as it is the old style that came on the vehicle and the new style should fix the problem.

I had a Pixel 7a and it charged only intermittently. Recently moved up to a Pixel 9 with an even bigger camera bump and it charges just fine. Leads me to believe that it might have more to do with the interior guts rather than the exterior of the phone that makes the difference.

Apple is well known for proprietary features that force consumers to buy their accessories. I think the issues are more the fault of the phone manufacturers than Lexus.

You have a 2025 and you have the bigger pad. 2022-2024 with the smaller pad is a different story. Pixel 6 pro xl worked with my 2022 charger, but pixel 8 pro and pixel 9 pro xl does not charge with the updated small pad charger. It works without a case, but the phone flies everywhere when you drive.
I believe the bigger pad works for all phones. I just haven't tried it yet.

Sorry for the late response. I had to find the invoice. The replacement part was 861C0-78031. No charge. Done under warranty.

Phone charges great now.

Do you have the large silcone pad? That does look like the new part number.
