Has anyone tried something like this before and have positive experience? Would really like to know how well this would fit on top of the crappy wireless charging pad we have on the NX.
I went this route in my RCF console only because I wanted something small. The one you have pictured looks rather large to fit on the existing charging pad.
But definitely a solution if the dealer isn't swapping it out like they did for the previous person above. Makes me think the revision is probably fixing/addressing something that people are complaining about with the original unit...
Hi folks, I haven't received my 23 NX F Sport yet, but I have been following this thread as I have an Iphone 14 and the wireless charging option in my order. Anyway, it sounds like the camera bump is the problem. I came across peel and stick MagSafe rings on Amazon, was wondering if someone has tried this yet to resolve the charging issue. Here is a link to the ones I am talking about ->
. I imagine you can stick this onto the wireless pad in the NX and then place the Iphone on top of it, both leveling the phone and extending the charge up. I ordered some but my NX isn't due to arrive until March so I can't test anytime soon but I thought I would share a potential solution.

They are very thin. I stuck two together and then place them on the 14 max case. Not enough to compensate for the camera bump. Charged for 10 seconds then stopped. I will try 4 next. Tried 4, it does not work.
So this is what I did and it works. I have an iPhone 12 Pro. The wet streaks are from the alcohol I had just wiped everything down with. The phone sticks well to the ring (I have a MagCase on it). Charging is no slower than it was without the ring and it keeps the phone from sliding around and off the charge plate.
Batty: That is very interesting that it works to charge your 12 Pro. Does your case have a large camera bump, or is the back "flat"?
My current 14 Pro case has a 2.25mm high ring around the camera so I'm very interested if this works properly
The 12's camera bump is not as larger. This method will work if you don't have a case on the 14, as I was able to charge it without a case as long as you can keep it in place.
I tried another one and it works well... video of that is coming out soon.
I ordered a slender iPhone Qi certified wireless charging pad wUSB from Amazon (it's no longer available but there are others). Plugged it in and laid it on the nx wireless pad. works fine with my iPhone pro 13 - just annoying to have the cable hanging out.

Where did you get the ring? How did you attach it?
To find the ring see the amazon link in my post above. While Batty used it, I actually did not. My 2023 came with the updated wireless charger and it works great without the ring on my Iphone14 coupled with the official Apple Leather Magsafe case.
I found that the tray is super slow anyways, plus bluetooth isn't always the most reliable so I just went back to using a USB cable, and it's very fast to charge my android. Plus, the phone gets very hot while on it which was a little concerning.
