NX Roof Bars
Has anyone managed to source any Roof Bars for the new NX?
I currently carry 2 Kayaks on my UX using a Thule Roof Rack. I asked to order the Lexus Roof Bars but they are not yet available on the Lexus system.
I contacted Thule and their Customer service told me:
“The test phase after a new vehicle has entered the market can last up to approx. 6 months. You are welcome to contact us again or use the Buyer's Guide on our Thule website in the meantime!”
I am not thrilled to contemplate not being able to move my Kayaks - so I hope either Lexus or Thule come up with a solution soon.
PS When I pick my car up on Friday I will check to see if the NX rails miraculously are the exact size and profile of those on the UX!🤞

Just got them today - will try later to put them on. I ordered them less than 1 week ago. Part #PT767-78800. The parts guy was nice enough to print the install instructions - seems easy enough. Put them on - took about 25 minutes. Torx bit included; just needed a pry tool.

Good luck. My guess is they will be mixed (two sizes) size bars. I like the AeroBlade edge bars, and will wait until we're positive of what sizes we need. That's what I had on my UX, too and liked the look in black. I do not think they will fit the 2022 NX. If I had to guess the bars will be the same size as the previous NX but possibly a different foot kit. The foot kits are different for almost every car. Below is what the outgoing model NX had and I also listed what the UX used, and as someone that is Thule certified, I do NOT recommend you try loading your kayak on there with those. As you can see they are not the same foot kit.... It might be close, but when you're doing 80 on the highway, that stuff could totally fly off and kill someone.

Yes I also have the Aero Blade Edge bars and changed the foot when changing from Suzuki to the UX. One possible ray of light is that the old NX was 5 years old so they may have decided to use the same profile bar as the more recent UX.
Safety is paramount so if we have to wait it is not a problem, just an inconvenience.

I checked the NX roof rails today and they are completely different to the UX.
There is no lip or face for a Thule foot to clamp to,
It seems that any fitting will have to bolt to the two recesses on each side of the car that have cover plates over them
Continue to wait fro Lexus UK and Thule to confirm their roof bar offerings.

I have now ordered the UK Lexus NX Phase 2 Cross Bars (# PW301-78001 NXP2).
They are showing on the Lexus UK site as official accessories now, but I have ordered from lexuspartsdirect.co.uk who are considerably cheaper.
Only problem is that they get them from Lexus and there is no estimated delivery date as yet…..
