2022 NX 2nd generation 1st year problems
Just drove it home from the Dealer lot with the 450h. Its pretty good so far. I didn't realize I was driving home the whole time using EV lol.
Though a couple of things kind of bother me.
1. Is the side mirror on the driver side being loose normal. Not used to driving an SUV and when im looking at the left side the inside mirror shakes, that isn't the case on the right side.
2. There is like a random rattle in the dash area occasionally.
3. I don't like how the rearview mirror is reflective but maybe I am not used to it yet lol.

When you are talking about the reflections in the rear view mirror, I assume you are talking about the electronic rear view mirror. If that is the case, it is, unfortunately, prone to having things on the inside of the car reflect onto the surface of the mirror. When that happens, it results in what I consider to be an unacceptable view of what is behind the car. You can, however, reduce the reflections if you adjust the mirror to be at a higher angle.
Congratulations on the new NX and good luck with it.
The shaking driver's side rear view mirror has been an issue with both some RAV4s and NXs through multiple generations. There is a fix for the problem, but it involves removing the interior door panel, taking apart various things inside the door to get access to the mirror area, and, then, replacing the bolts that mount the mirror to the door with larger bolts. For my RAV4 hybrid, I decided to learn to live with mirror. Mine only shakes periodically, and I was concerned about the possibility that, with having to take apart so much inside the door, new rattles might be introduced. I also was not interested in having to have larger holes drilled into the door sheet metal to accommodate the larger bolts.

The rear view mirror is good now, It was user error lol.
The next problem that came up now is the system and not saving my seat position or recalling my seat position. Need to redo it every time. Also, is the annoying alarm type sound when you are driving under 25 mph normal? It doesn't sound like the usual hybrid sound of a usual honda or something. its so slight.
Some members in the ES forum wrapped the noisemaker (right behind the grill) with duct tape. This made it only barely audible while avoiding the triggering of alarms that simply unplugging it would have caused. Tacky solution and I decided to just learn to ignore it myself - but I was tempted…
I picked up my 450H+ F Sport on Jan 7. The salesman let me know there is an issue with the alarm going off when the car is locked, but I garage park and was willing to deal with it. I love the car and am just waiting for the alarm issue to be fixed. I was back at the dealer a few days later, and there was another NX with its horn and lights going off continuously every 20 minutes. The other little bugs like the qi charging not working with my mag safe case I’m sure will get resolved eventually.
I knowingly knew I would probably see issues on a first year model at the start of the year, but I’m willing to deal with this for an otherwise amazing car.

FOUND REAR CARGO AREA LED SILL PLATE HAS INTERNAL FAILURE CAUSING VEHICLES ALARM TO ACTIVATE AND DISCHARGE BATTERY - PER LEXUS DISCONNECTED SILL PLATE AND WILL ADVISE CUSTOMER WHEN UPDATED PART HAS ARRIVED
So far so good, no alarm issues while locked since bringing it home. Hope this may help, my service department is at Lexus of Jacksonville if that helps your dealer at all.
Expect that a forum full of folks groaning about every squeak, rattle and random part “failure” is the vast minority and should be taken as anecdotal at best.
speaking of anecdotes, I too have a rule about buying first model year vehicles. I for some reason break that rule with almost every new car. The worst outcome I’ve dealt with is a new standard or optional feature coming the next year or two.

Filled my 350H up today. It had just got to the point where it was reading "Refuel" for range and the fuel indicator had no bars left. It took 12.5 gallons at the pump. Was trying to figure out if there's a 2 gallon reserve once you hit empty.
YMMV.
