I would imagine the NX is not too popular in the Southern states hence the deep discounts. In California or the Northeast, one would be lucky to get half of that.

Give me your good rationale like you did on the pricing 😂 about why the NX isn't popular in the Southeast. One of these friends is in Maryland and other one Pennsylvania. I don't think they're considered the Southeast. The RX and the NX are the #1 and #2 most popular selling luxury SUVs. Why would they give a large discount on vehicles that sell as soon as they hit the lot. The RX and NX are both in the top ten for the fastest selling vehicles. Amazing friends even got that much of a discount. It is called the law of supply and demand. Your original post was your blaming the political climate on high prices which is ludicrous. I just showed you where the average MSRP for Lexus in the last 3 years is lower than the inflation rate. Then you went to discounts. You maybe are looking at too popular of a vehicle. Go look at a GMC Denali they're giving $11,500 discounts off of them.
Have a suggestion for you. Since you're post crack me up I'm going to put you on my ignore list and you put me on your ignore list.

Sorry you feel that way, not sure why you are so defensive about being in NC, but if you could see how many 2nd gen NX are on the road here in the Northeast, you would understand. The NX is a compact luxury SUV, popular in metro areas where streets are narrow and small parking spaces. Same reason why there are less pick up trucks and giant SUVs in the Northeast compare to open area cities where space is not tight. .

Let’s get back to the facelift.

So when will the unveil be and when will it go on sale? Will the unveil be this summer and go on sale in Sept/October as a 2027 model?

I would guess more spy pics will be appearing soon? I’d like to see what they are doing for the interior changes.

Will they discontinue the gas 350 f sport?

If Lexus follows the original 2nd gen reveal and initial shipments, it will be around June for reveal and in showroom around December.

Yes for non-hybrid even my local dealer is offering $3K off MSRP because nobody cares about those.

For hybrid there's a wait list and they require MSRP + dealer add ons (fortunately no markup at this time).

But my comment about price being high was specifically about the 450h+ luxury which hits ~$75k OTD in CA -- $68k+ MSRP + ~7.75% sales tax + tags/license fees. Even the 350h luxury will go for around $65k OTD.

Before the Iran war started, we were offered $5000 off a NX450h and only half of that for the turbo and 350h. Right now, anything electric or hybrid is going up in price and demands are very high. There are many ways to raise the price without raising the msrp. Here in the northeast, supplies of the NX is very low, especially for the luxury trim, might be due to the current memory chip shortage.

I hope they get rid of the stippled trim and prism trim options. Those look cheap and completely out of place in a $50k car. Even a simple matte black or aluminum trim would look so much better.

This guy thinks the hybrid gen will be upgraded to whatever the current RAV4 is at and notes the charging port has moved from rear to front.

I don't think it's only Kirk who is saying that the refresh NX will have the 5th and 6th generation systems

Practically a 100% done deal the new NX and when they update the RX too, it will get the latest revision of Toyota's hybrid system. While you might think new technology should come to their premium brand first, their approach has switched over the last few years, and if it makes sense to offer it on a Toyota product first, they will. They'll take advantage of weeding out all the production start up and quality issues on a Toyota rather than a Lexus first. Toyota's got a shorter warranty too, so out of warranty work comes sooner. Lexus models will most likely get a slightly larger battery and newer battery technology too.

Just like they weeded out the 12v battery issue?

They aren't so concerned with obsolete 12V battery technology. They're working towards switching to RTGs for the next developmental hybrid system. They're just trying to figure out exactly the absolute minimum shielding required, still gotta save some weight first

He is not always right either. He’s essentially guessing. He makes a statement the triple beams are gone and the fog lights are gone. He’s stating this like it’s fact off 1 prototype. These are all assumptions.

I can see the fogs going away but not the cornering lights.

A nuclear trickle charger in my NX? I am guessing there will be non-believers out there. The big jump for Toyota’s hybrid system was switching from NiMH battery to lithium in gen 4. The German’s 48V system, much like toyota’s gen 4, also has lots of issues with the electrical system. At least the Toyota battery is cheaper than the German’s but those electronic door lock is a pain when the 12v battery is dead.
