Battery gotcha finally got me.

IMPORTANT: CHARGE IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE, AFTER EACH USE AND EVERY 30 DAYS, TO KEEP THE JUMP STARTER’S INTERNAL BATTERY FULLY
CHARGED AND PROLONG BATTERY LIFE.
5.1 CHECKING THE LEVEL OF THE INTERNAL BATTERY
Press the Light/USB Power button on the front of the unit. The LEDs will indicate the current charge level as follows:
● ● ● ● 100% charged
● ● ● 75% charged
● ● 50% charged
● 25% charged
Charge the internal battery if the LEDs indicate less than 75%.
5. Charge the unit as soon as possible after use.
7.7 Charge at least once every month, if not in frequent use, to prevent over-discharge."
I will check it every couple of months to make sure is 75% charged. The other jump starers that I have hold the charge more than 6 mo. I have never had this brand so I will check it sooner.

Lock, then quickly double tap Lock.
You'll hear the beep from the locking, and then 2 more beeps.
I think the 2 more beeps indicate that it's in battery guardian mode.

I don't think much is going to happen that you will notice, the car maybe is just going to go into a sleep mode and not do much of any communicating over the air. When you start it back up it will resume and begin communications with your mapping feature if you have the subscription, maybe do a background check for updates. I wouldn't suspect too much at all. The big draw would be communicating to your app if you have active services. I'm not really confident that too much would drop off and drastically save your battery drain. If that were the case the dealers would be telling you that you could sleep the car if you're going to leave it unattended for a week or so. This would surely cut down on dead batteries of which is still ongoing. It may simply be a way to put your key fob into sleep mode so it's signal reach will be much less and your fob will only see your car when you're close to it. Plenty of owners have left their cars sitting in their garage while away on vacation and obviously with the fobs away from the car and batteries are still dying. I wouldn't put much merit in it unless someone tests for battery draw after performing the keyfob button push scenerio.
