Default Lane centering / Lane tracing issue

I had a ’24 NX 350h Premium and currently have a '25 NX 350h Luxury. I'm having an issue with the Lane Tracing that I don't recall experiencing with my '24 model. When engaging the cruise control the system tries to keep the car too close (for my comfort) to the left line. I'm constantly fighting its micro adjustments. It's very unnerving when a vehicle (especially a semi truck) passes on the left and the car seems to want to steer into it. Sometimes, when first engaging cruise, the car will dramatically turn to the left.

I currently have a loaner ('25 NX 250) that seems to exhibit the same behavior! I need to drive it more to confirm.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've always found mine to be a tad too close to the right myself.

My '22 NX350h I find tends to hug the left line a little more too. To prove to myself I'm not nuts, I have the Advanced Park Assist set to turn on when my speed drops down to 5mph or less I believe. Anyways what happens is when I have active cruise control activated and am coming to a stop my cameras display on centre screen automatically. And you can see (if there's lines for the lanes present) that the car is not exactly in centre of lane. It's not much but is off a little. I haven't mentioned it to my dealer. I think it maybe does this since if there's ever a situation of a disappearing line marker it is the right shoulder, not the centre line and most country roads don't bother painting the shoulder of road with a line. So the system is left to try to 'see' the edge of the pavement on it's own. I'm thinking they probably have 'baked' in a little extra space to avoid driving off the edge of road.

But yes if I'm flying down the highway in a multilane setup I will at times get tired of struggling with the lane keep assist and turn it off because it bugs me too much to not give trucks more than enough room to wander around. I know I'll lose out on that battle everytime, like a bug on the grill!

I find mines hugs the left line of the lane more as well but in CA, bikers would lane split that works ok for me.

I have not noticed this with my NX. I’m wondering if this is an alignment issue with your camera. Has your windshield been replaced? I would talk to the dealer about this. They may be able to adjust the camera a bit, or perhaps there is an offset they can program in to alter the alignment.

That's what I'm hoping for. All the warranty in the world doesn't matter if they can just say "it's within parameters".

Turn on the "centering adjustment" option

YMMV,
