Rattles
I've always wanted a Lexus, so I went all-out on a NX Luxury. So far, I have to say I am extremely disappointed with this car's rattles as the weather has started to warm up. The driver's side door has been especially bad. I was able to get the center console lid tolerable by experimenting with felt in different places.
My father's $30,000 Hyundais don't rattle, even over the worst pavement. Meanwhile, my $50,000 Lexus rattles like a 1990s econobox. I don't get it. You'll hear all over the internet about how great Lexus is and how worth it the Toyota Tax is.
Considering how Toyota strangles supply and keeps prices higher and higher, I feel straight-up conned with this car. I will admit I do love the car when it's not rattling, but it's just unacceptable.

I hear you and I feel your pain -- it's absolutely infuriating. 3 of the doors on mine rattle when it gets warmer. I'm constantly pushing on the doors for temporary relief. I'm going to be taking the interior door part off this weekend to try to solve it myself after a few unsuccessful dealership visits.
Take it to your dealer first though, many can be resolved by them and hopefully you can get it resolved. Other than the rattles, I love the car (but if I can't resolve the rattles this weekend, or substantially improve it, then I'm likely swapping out my '24 NX350h for a different car, likely a different brand).
All cars have some that rattle, but anecdotally it does seem that it might an increasing problem with Lexus.

I had the drivers door rear view mirror replaced last week. It had been vibrating a bit, then it started to rattle. I could hear that inside the car. Replacing the mirror fixed that. You might want to check that out. I heard the rattle prominently when closing the driver door from outside the car.

). All it took was a tiny little piece of felt under the front edge of the plastic panel, just enough to give it a hair's width extra clearance to the metal frame, all better.

My back two doors used to buzz when it was warm outside. Pressing the door panel stopped it. Dealer couldn't hear the issue (shame on me for expecting different

P.S. - I am still trying to decide if I made the right move - much better tires -better wet weather, better handling, better starting/stopping , but loss of about 5 mpg.

I am in the same situation @TechZeke. After hearing friends rave about Lexus for years, I decided to give it a try. With the same experience as yours. 😞 I even replaced the first one after a year because they couldn’t fix all the rattles. The second one is not as bad but still has some. 😕
I'm also considering taking the financial hit to get out of it. It's hard to stomach paying so much for a car that rattles like a 20-year-old Econobox.
If I decide to stick with Lexus, I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get an RX. Since ownership, I've had four loaner vehicles, two of which were RXs, and the quality control on those seems much better. If I do get an RX, I'm going to have to be extremely meticulous during the test drive. My blind faith in Lexus QA/QC has been severely shaken.
At this point, I'm really missing my 2021 Venza now. (Unfortunately it was totaled, and by the time of the accident, hybrids were gold plated by dealerships so I didn't buy another one) My Venza had a nice interior, the awesome hybrid powertrain, didn't cost a fortune, and was completely solid.

It's been real folks. After bitching really hard and my salesman pushing management, the dealership actually gave me below MSRP on an RX Hybrid.
I'm not completely happy with the deal, but they did work hard to lessen the financial impact as much as possible. Plus, the hybrid should hold it's value better.
That rattlebox NX is now the dealership's and future owner's problem now. PEACE!

Started a thread a week or so ago on the same thing -- definitely annoying! Makes me sort of regret paying so much extra for Lexus...

For those curious, here was my NX that got out of:
Used 2025 NX 350 Luxury
Seeing photos makes me annoyed and sad about the situation, as it was a very nice car when it didn’t rattle. Also, it was fully spec’d how I wanted.(Which is a big deal in Toyota world where there are no custom orders) The color combination, the features, OEM all-weather floor mats from the factory, and the fact that I got a Luxury model with the smaller wheels. I’m grateful for my RX Hybrid, but my NX had everything I wanted.

After driving a noisy Jeep Rubicon for many years the Lexus NX450h+ is extremely quiet. This is partly due to the electric motors and partly due to the sound deadening materials used in the construction. It is inherently so quiet that I notice any rattle that occurs.
What I have discovered is that things that I have put in the car, from the glove compartment, to the centre console, even to the seat back pockets may rattle. There was an annoying rattle coming from the back seat and I removed the items that I had put there and the rattle disappeared. The same is true of a box of Altoids in the glove compartment -- the car being so quiet I could hear the mints rattling in the tin box. Once I discover the source of the rattle I find that it doesn't bother me any more.
I suggest removing everything from the car that you have brought in to see if that cures the rattling sounds that you hear.

1.) Above your driver door head is the hand lever for getting in and out of the car. That level will rattle and creak in warmer weather. Try jiggling it when you have warmer weather and you should be able to have the sound reproduced beside your ear. It also rattles when going over bumps and uneven surfaces on certain angles.
2.) The driver door actual door handle where the switches for the windows etc will creak. It's a plastic snap on piece and if you glide your finders either to the end furthest or nearest to you, you'll find that a small small gap occurs when the car is warm from the plastic expanding. It won't feel loose by any mean, but the plastic on plastic rubbing is what causes that rattle.
3.) I haven't figured out but I think there's a wire inside the door that bangs on the plastic liner of the door when it's warm. This was one of my first complaints 1 year into ownership but in contrast to the rest of the creaking issues in this car, I'm actually OK to live with it because it's not reproduced every pothole.
Let me know if this helped; my biggest issue is the infotainment screen's plastic piece and plastic backing where it heats up and starts creaking and cracking. Video below may seem excessive, but I'm not putting much pressure and it's gotten worse to the point where it auto expands and creaks/pops even when the car is stationary. Literally from expansion from heat and makes driving into the sun a pain in the *** and unenjoyable on most hot days.
So a couple weeks ago I completely took off the interior door panels (it's actually much easier than I expected), but I still haven't managed to solve the rattles in three of my doors. It's somewhat better, but nowhere near good enough.
On one door, there's a specific part of the physical mechanism of the emergency open lever that's causing it (and I'm very cautious to mess with that), on another door it's where the ML speaker housing area is (though taping all the wires with felt tape didn't help), and another door it's harder to distinguish where it's coming from.
Unfortunately I'm at the point where, while I'm continuing to try to fix, I've also started scoping out a possible new vehicle purchase. I haven't really found a vehicle that I'd like as much as the nx350h so that will probably encourage me to keep trying the rattle fixes myself on the doors since I'm an expert now (I've taken the door panels off many times now and could do it in my sleep haha).
If anyone is interested in pictures of the door panel off I can post them here.
