I also read somewhere (YouTube) that we should see new iOS updates once a week instead of every 2 weeks.?.?

Do you have a standard 9.8-inch touchscreen or the available 14-inch touchscreen.

For the 14" g
o in to CarPlay, Display settings in the car and make sure Smart Display Zoom is selected. Apparently it is off by default.

That was it..

Thank you so much for helping me. I have never been in Settings in the car, only in CarPlay on the phone.Smart Display Zoom was off and as soon as I toggled it on the 3rd stacks appeared. I also see Stack 3 on my phone for configuration.. Life is good again.

Hopefully we'll get a new iOS 26 Update on Monday. Oh and yes I have the larger screen on my 450h+ Luxury.

Still only showing 2 rows of icons on Public Beta 2.

On this topic, is anybody else's speedometer in Google Maps way off? Whenever I use CarPlay on my 2022, it's off by like 10km/h in some cases. But when I disconnect from CarPlay and use my phone, it's accurate to within 1-2 km/h.

PlugShare app is now working on CarPlay with iOS 26 Beta 7. Previously the 'Stations' window was not able to show the nearby charging stations — something to due with liquid glass.

For those of us who've been putting off getting iOS26, would all of you guys say to go ahead and get it now? Any concerns? Did the NX's ever get a third row? Is everything working as expected? Tips or tricks? Thanks!

I’ve been using since beta three. In that version there were three rows of app icons, but it changed back to two since then.

The addition of widgets is great. In order to get three stacks of widgets you need to maximize the screen, otherwise you only get two stacks.

it has been very stable and I recommend iOS 26.

From what I have read, it depends on the iPhone that you have, to install it on now. If you have the something closer to the latest and greatest, then you good and would not have any problems with it, but if you are using something older like iPhone 12, then you can still download and use it, but your phone will struggle and drain the battery etc. basically the older the phone the more issues you will have. The current one in iPhone 17 the oldest one you can install iOS26 I think is iPhone 11, but I would say that do not bother installing it on anything that is below iPhone 15.

I was running iOS 26 from Beta 3 to the final release on an iPhone 11 Pro Max with 512 gb ram with no problems. Stable and fast. I wanted the improved CarPlay and it delivered!

However my wife’s iPhone 11 with 64 gb ram required the uninstall of some apps in order to install iOS 26. It does run fine and we were able to reinstall the apps.

YMMV

I have upgraded to the iPhone 17 Pro Max and of course everything runs faster with the A19 chip, but CarPlay seems to run the same.

I installed 26 today and like it. I’m a little disappointed we don’t seem to have that third stack of widgets or the third row of apps. I feel like there’s plenty of room. I also feel like there’s room for a fourth “previously used” app.

You get the third column of widgets if you maximize the CarPlay screen on the 14” display and also turn on ‘Smart Display Zoom”
