Oil Filter Cut Open
Today I got around to cutting open my oil filter from my 1st oil change.
There were 4-5 tiny aluminum particles caught in the filter media.
I measured them with a micrometer, they varied from .001” to .004” thick. Caught - thanks to the oil filter.
I was amused at how many parts there are in the simple oil filter. Who knew?
