Post Replace 9.8 inch screen with 14 inch screen

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to upgrade my screen on my own on my Lexus NX350 with VIN starts with J. I’m familiar with how to remove the old screen and install the new one. However, I’ve noticed a difference between the connectors on the 14-inch screen and the 9.89-inch screen. The connector on the 14-inch screen (marked in red) seems to be for Media Oriented System Transport (MOST), while the connector on the 9.89-inch screen (also marked in red) is for the speakers.

How can I connect them properly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Not that I can help you, but was curious on what other hardware do you need to move/alter to get the bigger screen in?
Any warranty impact?
Sounds like a great project!!!

Good luck with the screen upgrade! It sounds like you've got a good handle on things so far. I’m sure someone with more experience in the connector differences will have some great advice. I personally would love to try something like this myself if it comes out successful, though I’m sure it’ll be a bit pricey. Looking forward to hearing about your successful outcome once everything is set up!

The only thing I could suggest is to check the vehicle wiring if the MOST connector was there hiding unused with the old screen.

IMHO it "it aint a gonna work".

Most likely a major rewiring, new cable harness and most importantly a software change.

But good luck on your project and keep us informed of the outcome.
