Default Front seat comfort

Is anyone else finding the front seats of the 2022> model to be uncomfortable on long journeys? We have a Premium Plus (not F-sport) and the problem seems to be that the seat base is quite short so doesn't provide enough support under the back of the legs/knees. Most reviewers talk about how comfortable the car is, but how do owners actually find it on longer journeys, like 2+ hours? Thanks.

Actually no, if the seat base was longer I'd probably have to use a back rest so that I could sit nearer the edge of the seat to allow my knees to bend, but at 5' 7" I'm not the tallest celery stalk in the bunch. I would think raising the front edge of the seat would help a bit, I keep mine a bit higher up for comfort but given my size I get decent leg support. My issue with the seats is that they are a bit firm, but not terrible. I've got a skinny butt so I have issues with any seating surface that isn't very well padded. When I drive my wife's Forester I can only make it about an hour max, those seats are hard. I keep an extra gel foam cushion to use whenever we have a long drive in that car. But I can usually do 4 or 5 hrs in the NX without too much issue. I don't think I could do an F Sport seat, mostly because I think with the extra side bolsters I would not have adequate room to shift around a bit.

We just went on a 2500 mile road trip and our butts hurt at the end of most days. We will look at seat cushions for our next long trip.

I don’t have any issues. Have you tried raising the front of the seat base and lowering the back? For me that puts a little more “pressure” under the knee area.

I drove the Premium and Luxury model before purchasing. The padding on the driver's seat on the Premium isn't bad. It feels that the Luxury trim to have more padding and was more comfortable. I sometimes drive around 1.5 to 2 hours and feel pretty comfortable. The Older RX has excellent padding with wider seats also,

I don’t own an NX but I have a bad back and the only NX that worked for me was the Luxury and it was all about the seat padding, not the 4 way vs 2 way lumbar. Luxury seat was better than my current car (2023 RDX) while the Premium was worse than my current car.

I use this seat cushion in my RDX.

Concur w OP that the seats are quite firm. I have done a few 5 hrs trips and that is about my limit. I once or twice a year do a 13 hr straight trip and at that point, I doubt any seat will remain comforable.
I recently purchased a custom 1 inch H41 foam from an upholstery shop and will "supplement" my seat to see if that helps w a longer term trip (4 hrs and more) ......I plan to do another 5 hr trip in about a month, will update on if the foam helped...

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like the issue is a combination of the seat base being firm, narrow and on the short side. This is the standard NX seat (Premium Plus) - does anyone have experience of the Fsport seats on a long journey, are they any better, or worse?

Will be interested to see if you find the extra foam makes a difference. I did think of seeing whether a vehicle upholsterer could make any improvements as I otherwise really like the NX.

I'm 5' 8.5" tall (was 5' 10" once upon a time!). I have the NX350h Premium Package 2024 model. I've taken some long trips and find the seats to be vey comfortable for me. It may be they're sized about right for my body type and size. I too lack much natural padding on my back side.
