Default Not Thrilled & Weird

Not thrilled...Trading our (1400miles) 2024 350 Lux white/red for a 2025 350H Lux white/pal......... will miss the red...it's classy I love it. Not thrilled.

Weird.... We're in the 2025 with our sales agent...I put my foot on the brake and press the start button... a few seconds later press again then again press again ...after 3 times I ask why it won't start.... she says it is started..it is running. Had to laugh on that one...no idea what to expect with a hybrid. That was weird...

We do not drive much and most of it is 25-35 mph ... aside from not stopping at every gas station tell me I'm going to love it. Thanks

Have 2023 NX 350h and 2024 RX 350h. Our 4th hybrid. Never replaced brake pads. Each traded in with around 100,000 miles. NX 40 mpg and RX 38 mpg. Zero issues for both. Wife and I both love them.

Hey thanks...I'm use to an aggressive exhaust note...this shocked me. I only drove around the parking lot today... The brakes seem a little soft... Your opinion on the brakes?

Remember our first hybrid a 2015 RX and the first couple of brake applications was sure different. Fast forward don't even think about it. Remember normal braking you are regenerating the battery. Only time you are using the pads is hard stopping. Why the pads last over 150,000 miles.

Congratulations, you’re going to love it! One word of caution with the NX hybrid: The 12 volt battery. It can be drained fast so NEVER put it in ACC mode to sit and listen to the radio or play with the computer or to familiarize yourself with it. Best thing to do is leave the car in ready mode if you’re going to leave doors open for a while or sit inside and explore it, etc. And driving short hops like you intend puts you at higher risk of draining the 12 volt as well. Short hops doesn’t give the car enough time to charge the 12 volt. That’s how I drive and I killed the battery twice before I put 300 miles on it. Very easy hack to ensure this never happens to you is - when you get home, just park and take another 15 minutes or so in your car in ready mode once a week or more to make sure it gets a chance to recharge the 12 volt. You don’t have to drive to charge, parked in Ready mode will charge up the 12 volt. Read some emails or something. I haven’t had a problem since started doing did this. Other than figuring out this quirk with the 12 volt, I love the NX!

Are your referring to the 350 or 450? As for the 12V... is it a decent battery or should I upgrade to a AGM.

My mistake, this is more of a 450 problem!

Hybrid question … what happens if the NX is not shut down when existing.
Does it stay on electric, shift to gas, shut down.
The fact it silent is a concern if parked in the garage and not shut down.
Is Carbon Monoxide a concern?

Next.. let’s say I’m parked and waiting for someone… can I sit with the AC on for
a while?

Understand your concern but really no concern. If ignition is on and you attempt to lock door will not lock. You will always see lights on dash if on when leaving vehicle. A/C just like regular car. Your 12 volt battery in trunk will run A/C. What I do very sensitive to mpg when parking vehicle on hot day will run A/C until the ev light goes off and engine starts most of the time except really hot day.

You will notice a freewheel spot between light regen braking at speed and more firm hydraulic braking when just coming up to a stop sign. This is normal, no matter how much I hate it. Sport mode may lessen it some.
