Default How to remove driver grab handle?

I have an occasional squeak or rattle in the driver grab handle in my 2024 NX 350h that the dealer has been unable to replicate and fix. I’ve found that if I place foam around the various parts of the handle (hinge, underside) it helps a lot. I’m thinking if I could remove it and try doing a better job to insulate it, then it might be eliminated. Any tips on removal and replacing? Videos, etc. would be welcome. I’m paranoid to try WD40 as I don’t want to stain the headliner. Thanks!

Hallo,
did you get the handle off? and managed to get the rattle removed. I have the same thing in my 350h when I drive over bad road surfaces. but I don't dare take the handle off.

Hi: I couldn't quite figure out how to remove the handle and it's still trial and error at my end. What's currently working pretty well is I bought some batting from a hobby store and pulled the headliner down by the handle (the rubber door gasket comes of and goes back in place easily) and pushed it up there so it creates some "soft" pressure" behind it. I also cut two pieces of rubber (1" x 1" x .5") and pushed them up from below to add pressure on each side of the handle. While the handle now can't be pulled down much, both of these things combined have greatly quieted it down. I plan to try removing the rubber this weekend so it's just the batting (I had done the rubber pieces first) just to do the process of elimination in terms of what's the minimum intervention. Also, on a related note, I've read on the thread that some people gat a rattle with the driver's sliding seat belt apparatus -- mind does it only occasionally and can go a long time before it occurs, so I'm not obsessing about that right now. :-)

Good luck!

Hi, The resonance only occurred for me after 1 year. And when it gets warmer the noise is less. And only on bad road surfaces. Pressing something down, as you did, is worth a try. And maybe it will go away on its own eventually. (thanks Google translate)
have a nice day!
