Default Digital key for X time

Looking at trading our 24 with the broken windshield... cannot drive it and no part replacement available. Backorderd with no ETA. Thought about a 2025 350h but it has 1 fob and the digital key. How reliable/unreliable are the digital keys? I'm not impressed and it might be a deal breaker....I need some real time reviews here. Thanks..

WOW, if you like the car get a replacement. If you can afford it ( or it makes financial sense to you) get the 450h+ with ML( sorry still can't get ML with F-Sport). The 1 key fob issues is still there but time to 2 FOB is much less. The digital key works fine. The only issue is if you have multiple profiles be careful, Lexus combined several car entry/start technologies together after only unit testing and no overall integrated testing. One-person, one profile, absolutely no issues. multiple people, multiple profiles be careful sometimes Lexus get confused. Also Toyota/Lexus use the exact same app and if you have multiple cars there is also some integration issues.

YMMV.

Imagine 4 cars going through the app with 3 drivers

So weird... I have had my windshield replaced 2 times in the year I have had the car and both times it was replaced within 24 hours and one of those 2 times was last Tuesday.

Zero issues and cost me nothing.

I generally find the digital key to be 99.9% reliable. I was forced to rely on it since we were getting Reno's and I didn't want to leave car keys in the house while traveling during renos. Had no problem at all.

Have you tried getting a windshield through a 3rd party like Safe lite? If you can’t get a Lexus OEM windshield, I would at least try to get aftermarket glass. You will take a huge loss on trade as it is, even more with a busted windshield.

If you can get aftermarket now and keep the car, , and replace with OEM when available, you will be thousands ahead.

Good thought however. We picked the NX350 for its safety features. Cannot calibrate the cameras without OEM. Wife’s car. I want to know she has all mitigations working.
No offense to anyone but was advised by a body shop and 2 dealers to stay away from SafeL. If I was selling it I would not care. … and would disclose the replacement.
