Does the NX have native apps available? Is this section just referring to the basic multimedia unit software.
The multimedia unit has a Settings -> Apps section.
Our vehicle (2022 NX450h+) appears to have 0 apps installed.
The multimedia guide isn't entirely helpful.
I haven't tried the Reinstall All Apps option yet.

Additional question - is the NX remote connect capable and what does it allow?

 

No apps that you can use as a user. There are apps running in the back ground.

Remote connect will allow you to lock, unlock, monitor cars status and location and remote start the car.

If you have navigation, it also allows you to set your home and favorites in Lexus navigation
