The dealer installed the remote start on my 3IS, which then made the navigation screen goes blank. Does on anyone have remote start on their 3IS and/or had these same issues?

Your dealer is dumb for not reading the directions.... it clearly says not to install remote start on models with Navigation.

What? Remote start is incompatible when you have navigation? Why would that be?

The remote start is not compatible with the navigation system. Dealership found out the day they tried to install it in mine. Hopefully they have something in a few months.

Well that's interesting and good know, i just hit my local dealer about adding that and they said nothing about it not being compatible due to the navigation, though i am not surprised.

I was looking to get the same on mine as well, but the dealer told me that all cars with navi already have the remote start which will be able to use on a lexus app in the fall.

Are they referring to RES+ or something you could use without any monthly fee?

That's interesting. I was interested in getting the remote start, but decided against it at the last minute. If this is something that can be enabled by just getting an app, that would be super awesome!

In my country the F-Sport comes with remote start , so all the talk of being not compatible is not true . BTW the F-Sport here comes with heated / ventilated seats and this oppose your dealers claim.

Weird, is it just the IS? my gf bought an RX350 with nav and had them install remote start (completely worthless but they did it free) and it works fine no issues with nav.

Seems so. Works fine on the GS and GX too.

i think you're the first person to make this claim on CL, and in general. i haven't heard anything about this.. though i do recall a rumor that our Navs have that option (though it's been dismissed by the community because no one can validate the claim). but maybe thats the reason possibly why lexus is preventing owners/dealerships to install the current remote start kits. but that makes no sense,... if its an app and your customers don't have to buy a remote start (maybe just the service) cause its already built in, wouldn't you want to market that immediately to make more profit?

Lexus are having issue with 2014 is remote starters in general, all lexus dealerships are waiting for an update from lexus for a fix or and updated product. Lexus also offers 2 types different types of remote starts to clear things up.
