I had to try it. I bought the Illuminated gear **** for my NX, and so far I love it. The white LEXUS light comes on when you touch it or it senses vibrations (so it seems to stay on a lot in the car while driving). It doesn’t overpower the cabin at night. It stays on for three minutes (site says 30 sec for some reason) while the SPORT Logo on the sides cycle through Red, blue, green, purple, white, light blue and light green every 10 seconds for three minutes. It has its own battery that you use a USB cord once a month to recharge. So no worry about parasitic drain of the 12 volt. Only down side is I think the plain lexus crystal logo looks better when compared to the illuminated one with the light off. The picture don’t do justice to the sharp image, but I included a couple below.

My M3 came with an illuminated shift ****, and it made the car go a lot faster because I was actually shifting gears.

Seriously, the NX illuminated shift **** looks great I am glad I came across it earlier.

Yes, the “SPORT” logo on both sides slowly moves through different colors every ten seconds as long as the white “LEXUS” logo is on.

I got myself just a crystal gear shift know without any light or carbon fiber, and I love it, so is everyone else haha
