When the driver seat moves forward when entering and back when leaving there are loud noises as if the seat is hitting something. Anyone have this issue? 2022 NX 350

 

Probably best to post in a video of the sound.

Better yet. sounds like the vehicle is under warranty, if it happens all the time. Bring it to the dealer and have them look at it.

 

In my wife's 2024 the rod the seat moves back and forth on.... something happened to it. I couldn't hear a different noise but I could feel it. Felt like the seat was moving over rocks. It was "bumpy."

They replaced the seat rod during the scheduled service. All good now.

 

I took my car to the dealership a couple of weeks ago and demonstrated the seat noise to them. The noise occurs when you either extend the seat all the way forward or all the way to the back and sounds like a crunching noise. They knew exactly what it was a they ordered new seat rails. Awaiting delivery of the parts.

 

Thanks for that info. I have a 30k servicing scheduled next week and I will have them look at it. Seems to be the identical problem I have.

The auto-reverse seat in my old RX would occasionally make a screaming noise. But that was just my mother in law. She lived in great fear the seat would eat her toes and would scream every time the seat started to move back when we stopped. She's no longer allowed to sit behind the driver.
