My car seat is making a creaking/squeaking noise.. I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue. The car makes this sound especially when I slowly accelerate and my seat moves back. Anyone know a fix to this? Is it lubrication issue or a seat spring issue? It JUST started happening. My NX 350h is a 22' model and only has 3k~ miles.. Thanks all!
Lexus noise expert here, having disassembled quite a few brand new Lexuses to fix noises, creaks, and squeaks. I suspect your noise could be one of the plastic panels on the sides or rear. Also make sure its not the seat rubbing up against the center console or associated plastic hardware. Your car is under warranty though so if the problem is easily replicated, have Lexus fix it free. If it were me though I prefer fixing things myself so I'd have the seat broken down in no time at all. Can you pinpoint where the sound is coming from? Try pressing with your hand on certain pieces of the seat and see if it makes the noise. Hopefully it's not deep inside the seat where it's not reasonably accessible.
Can you post a photo of your seat and point out where you suspect the noise is coming from?
I was the squeaky seat would eventually stop, but it’s so much worse. My car is 2 months old. Did this happen to anyone else? I’m scheduling service tomorrow. It’s so loud it’s embarrassing. 😳

Mines is fine. Maybe bring it to the Lexus dealer given you are under warranty anyways.
Mine has a squeak in the passenger front door panel just below the arm rest. Only appears in colder weather and only periodically. Dealer tried to fix it last service, but not successful. So will be looked at again next visit. I can replicate by pressing on the panel just below the arm rest towards the back of the door, with the door open.
I have just started having a similar squeak too. '22 NX350H about 60k kms / 40k miles on it. I did have a crunchy sounding episode a few months ago that alarmed me. Have my seat set to retract upon exit and back into position when I turn on car. Getting in, turned on and as seat was moving forward I could hear a crunch sound. I'm a mechanical engineer with lots of manufacturing and machining experience. It definitely wasn't metal on metal, the seat motion didn't struggle or stop, which I know will happen if it's loaded up with an opposing force like you push back with your body while the seat is in motion. This is a safety feature in case something is getting squished like my big belly! So it didn't stop, but it sounded like a plastic or softer item may have been munched in the mechanism that moves the seat. Either a ball screw or meshing gear teeth had a plastic piece get stuck in them and proceeded to munch it up. Anyways that sound happened 2 times when seat was moving then nothing since then. I've looked under the seat as best as I can, moving it all the way forward & back, up and down, tilt full forward and back. No more crunch sound, but nowI get a sound just like post # 12 by lexuselectric. I find if I move all the seat adjustments then back to my setting the noise will go away. Also I have leather, and I know other models have not leather. I've noticed that the black plastic trim that meets up around the seat bottom leather, it actually touches it so I'm wondering if it's coming from there. I haven't gotten around to try to make it happen intentionally yet though.
To: E46CT : I've seen on older cars, when things were built a little more robustly, that as the leather surface was nearing a plastic surround trim along base of seat, they would typically switch out the leather surface with a fabric like carpet material so that you didn't have plastic and leather touch. This I know, when conditions are right, will produce a squeak. Just like the sound when you settle into a big old leather couch! I wonder if that's where the sound is coming from. I've never found any debris under my seat that may have been the cause for my crunching episode. Sorry Update here Dec 9 6:30pm Eastern. I looked and the front seats do have a cloth like material around the outer edge of the leather where it contacts the black plastic trim.

I had them look at my driver's door when last in. I've got a rattle in the door when I play music that has a heavy bass to it (or if I do the nasty thing of hitting it with my fist - never do this too often or you will possibly make it worse - been there done that many years ago). The tech said all he was able to do was add a bunch of those foamy / fabric like tape on stripping to anywhere that would be contacting something else. Didn't really help much either.
