There have been documented instances of the NX dash easily being scratched..... just google the topic.
Do you use a Windshield sun shade ? And if so, is regular use causing scratches when you install and remove the shade on a daily basis.... I dont want to see how easily the dash scratches, I am asking if anyone who uses the shade regularly has encountered permanent scratches. If NO scratches, what brand shade are you using....The brand I use on a different car is somewhat sturdy and I am not likely to go with that brand and risk daily scratching of my new NX....

I'm so glad you brought this up. My NX hasn't arrived yet and I was thinking about a sunshade. I wasn't aware people were having issues.

 

I have a Heatshield brand one I use occasionally. I will say that the dash can be scratched with nothing more than a dirty look, but I haven’t had any issues as I’m careful. There are several reports of the scratching on several Lexus models, so it’s not unique to the NX. I suspect a lot of it comes from scrubbing, not gently wiping when cleaning. If you slap it up there and yank it down you’ll get scratches.
