Ongoing Infotainment Issues.
We just bought 2024 NX350 in May. It currently has less than 2,000 miles on it. Since day one we've been experiencing infotainment and connectivity issues. At this time, I'm reluctant to take it to the dealer because the issues are intermittent, but ongoing. Having worked in a dealer for the past 38 years, I know what happens when you bring a car into the service drive and it isn't acting up at the time. "No problem found".
Issues are;
1. My Wife's iPhone 12 has bluetooth turned on at all times. Most of the time, when she gets in the car it will connect automatically. Then, one day, it'll stop connecting all together and can't be manually reconnected. It will remain disconnected for a couple of days, and then one day, out of the blue, it will connect by itself. This has happened dozens of times already. Even while driving with the phone connected, a pop-up on the screen will sometimes appear that says "lost connection" or something like that.
2. We are constantly getting "key not detected" in the display. Even while driving, it'll beep and the warning will show up. The battery in the fob has been replaced 3 times.
3. Sometimes when exiting the car, the door won't lock by pressing the sensor. We have to re-open the door and close it again before it will lock.
4. On numerous occasions, when getting in the car and driving, the radio won't start playing for about 15 minutes. We can't figure out how to get it to start playing, it just does it on its own.
It seem that her phone only connects when the car feels like it and there's really nothing that can be done.
Is anyone aware of some kind of software update that Lexus is aware of that might fix this? Is anybody experiencing the same issues?

Next time when you are not able to connect, did you ever reboot the iPhone 12? I have seen scenarios where I reboot the infotainment a few times and it won't reconnect. I had to reboot my iPhone for it to connect properly. You have to keep in mind that the issue could be caused by the infotainment or the phone itself. Apple also does updates that could cause some issues as well. I have noticed that Apple CarPlay does not work when my iphone gets an update. I had to unlock and a message shows that apple carplay was setting up again.

Happens to my 2023 all the time. Hold the volume button for 10 seconds to reset the infotainment system and it usually connects to my iPhone 12 after. Been like that from day one. Clearly an ongoing problem with no software update. Sometimes it connects others it fails.
yes if I get in and if it doesn’t connect first try, I press and hold volume and it usually connects on the second try. I have to do that all the time though. Very annoying for such a modern expensive vehicle
I don't know why it happens to you all the time. Mine works 99% of the time. The odd time it does not work I hold the volume and let it restart. As I said earlier, if that does not work, I reboot my iPhone and it works after that. I had no problems with my iPhone 11 and later upgraded to iPhone 14 Pro and the same behavior. Most of the time it works properly.

2023 NX 350h. First month 50% of the time wife's Samsung S9 (older model) would connect immediately. Got her the S 23 most updated model and now 99% of the time it connects immediately and if not hold down the volume button to reset and always connects after. Try going into apps Bluetooth and clear your cache.
