Navigation No Longer Updates Routes Based on Real-Time Traffic
I've been using my car's navigation system for two years and it has always worked well.
However, about two weeks ago, I noticed that the navigation no longer displays or calculates routes based on real-time traffic conditions. While I can see the color changes indicating traffic flow on the map, these traffic conditions are not reflected on the navigation's route map. Moreover, the recommended best routes are now based solely on distance, without considering the traffic situation.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

YMMV,

So if you're still seeing navigation at all, it's still active.
As far as traffic issues, maybe the Lexus server is having some backend issues with traffic info? Not sure.
Navigation itself is a subscription service and part of the Drive Connect subscription. If you got the large screen, you get a 3 year trial of Drive Connect. You would see your subscriptions in your Lexus app.

navigation maps are on the hard drive. Updates of traffic are a subscription service. Though they work together, they are separate. This is why I like google maps, it's updated constantly with no fee. Please check your Drive connect account and let us know what you find.

Navigation maps are not on the hard drive for the Lexus Interface. This is cloud navigation system. The maps are cached on the device, but they are updated into the cache from time-to-time. It is different from the Lexus Enform system where the maps are loaded in the car and no updates are in the system. Unless you map to get the maps updated.
there is a cloud module update to fix this .
the built in integrated music would fail to connect at times as well as the real-time traffic would fail to update .
i had the same issue and the update solved it .
if can only be done by the dealer

I just bought a 2025 RX450h+. When I opted out of the master data sharing, my car turned very dumb - no map showed at all, and the time was wrong!

Is this true across the board with Lexus? I was under the impression they went to a model where all the map data is downloaded as it’s needed.

This early setup would only update the map with a purchased map update usually through your dealer. Pretty basic stuff. I have an old Tom Tom gps map and I had to constantly go online to update it's mapping info then reinstall it in my car.

I really don't know of any upside except if you don't own a mobile phone or don't want to bother connecting it to your car's infotainment system. I believe older systems that have maps imbedded into it with a hard drive are the only example. These systems didn't usually play nice with your phone to allow phone imagery to 'cast' onto your centre screen. You have no choice but to use the car's internal setup or mount your phone into a holder on windshied to view your map on your phone.
