When do you predict the NX facelift?
I would be interested in discussing the timing of the NX facelift and post facelift design.
My prediction:
I believe the facelift date will be in 2025.
The first generation NX went on sale on July 29, 2014 and the facelift version went on sale on September 14, 2017.
*The release date is the date in Japan where I live.
The EOL of the model was roughly 6 years, with the first three years being the earlier model and the latter half being the later model. if the model life of the 2nd generation NX follows the same schedule, I would expect the facelift of the 2nd generation NX, launched in November 2021, to be 3 years later, between the end of 2024 and summer 2025 I predicted that the facelift of the second-generation NX, which was launched in November 2021, would be between the end of 2024 and the summer of 2025.
(However, I also believe that there is a high possibility that this forecast may be wrong. In Japan, due to the shortage of semiconductors and the small number of units allocated for Japan, I have seen reports on social networking sites that the second generation NX ordered in November 2021 did not arrive until early 2023. I don't know about the pace of delivery outside of Japan, but I also think that this delay could delay the model change
As for the design after the facelift, I think (although my wish list includes a lot of things) that at least the lower front fog lights should be removed.
I am sure that at least the shape of the fog lights on the lower front part will be changed.
It will probably be long or wide instead of the current round shape. This is a similar change to the Gen-1 NX facelift.
Another point is that the rear lettering emblem will be BOLD. I think the current rear emblem has slightly smaller and thinner letters. I think this is because Toyota is designing the car on the premise of a facelift, and in order to get users to replace their cars with the facelift, they are intentionally making the design of the previous year's model look strange.
This trend can also be seen in the front design of the new RX, which will definitely eliminate or reduce the decorative parts on the left and right sides of the lower front part to give it a cleaner look in the later model of the RX. This was also done in the previous RX facelift. This is Toyota's usual practice.
What do you think?

I really haven't given it any thought. I just got my car in April this year. I tried 5 dealers for about a year plus to get a NX350H and none of them could get one. Then a strange call came in about the 450H+ Base. I grabbed it up. So after such a long wait, I'm not ready for a new facelift yet. Besides, I've spent too much money on this one to afford a new car.
I agree with the lettering in the rear. I'm not so sure about the fog lights though.
By the way, the translator did pretty good.

I certainly feel that with such a shortage of vehicles, a refresh on a 6 year cycle and a facelift on a 3 year cycle is too soon.
You were able to purchase the NX450H+! Congratulations!

I was lucky enough to win the lottery sale of the RX350, but when I test drove it, I found the vehicle too large for my garage at home and decided against purchasing it... I was so in love with the RX design that I regret that I should have gotten it even if I had to rent a monthly parking space near my house...
My experience with the RX350 showed me that a large car does not fit my lifestyle, so now I am looking forward to the Crown Sport or the NX after the facelift.
If I cannot buy a Crown Sport or NX due to production delays, I will either continue to drive my current NX300h for a long time, or I will part with my Lexus/Toyota SUV and buy a used Porsche 981 Cayman/Boxster or Macan...

I see that there is a shortage of the product in the US as well. It is crazy how hard it is to get a car when you can pay for it.

As you said, I also think the grille design of the new NX is indeed wonderful. I didn't understand what #%*^ represents, but I believe that the front fog lamps will undoubtedly undergo some changes. This is because the exact same thing happened with the previous generations of the NX and RX. The shapes of the air intakes on both ends of the front lower part, the shape of the front bumper, and the shape of the fog lamps are certainly expected to be altered. (Conversely, if these areas are not changed, there are hardly any other places left to modify the design.)
Since Lexus came out with the NX model yr '24 way ahead of the normal cycle I don't know what to think. I bought a '22 NX in Oct '22 and then the MY '23 came out right after I drove my car into my driveway. Again Lexus was ahead of their normal cycle. So I have a 2 yr old MY car after 1 yr now. I don't want to see a refresh for until '26. With Toyota deciding to accelerate their EV design and production I would think the NX would take a back seat for now.
@MyPonponIsPain The #%*^ represents BAD WORDS that the forum boss doesn't allow. 😁
I see. thank you for teaching me!

I believe that a facelift every three years and a refresh every six years is the usual cycle.
I purchased the NX in 2019, and at the time of purchase, I was predicting that the model would probably be refreshed by 2022 or at the latest by 2023. I had this belief based on information from the Internet, and since the dealer's sales consultant had the same opinion, I was almost certain.
However, in hindsight, since the 2019 NX was the first car I ever bought in my life, I had no preconceptions coming from experience. From the perspective of the older generation, a model change on a six-year cycle might have been considered a high pace and unusual.
What I totally failed to predict was that car production would become this delayed in the world. Probably, in the car manufacturing factories, by the time production of the new model starts, how long that model will be produced is already scheduled. This schedule almost coincides with the timing when the model is refreshed. Whether Toyota will change this schedule due to the global delay in car manufacturing or not is, I think, the point of debate.
Arrow headlights, three-eyed headlights, mesh grille... It's really sad that these iconic features of Lexus are disappearing due to the EV promotion strategy.
With these strategies of Toyota, I am planning to switch to Porsche, but it is a pity that European cars cannot survive in the hot and humid natural environment of Japan and quickly break down. (Porsche is expensive above all...)
The size of the navigation screen is also important, but I think the current system lacks operability and information volume, so I would like to see improvements in this area.
I feel that the conventional navigation screen system, which can be remotely controlled with a touchpad, is more complete.
