Blue Film side mirror
On my 2023 nx 350 I have a blue film in the centre portion of the driver's side mirror, I can only see it in certain light conditions. Is this normal ?? or is it a film that should be removed but I can't find an edge to remove.

This is the anti glare feature. Reduces the glare from headlights on cars coming up beside you at night. We don't have it on the passenger side, which I think is a bit cheap. Had it on all my previous RXs and it's apparently there on the new gen RX as well.
The RX gets everything as it should. Has puddle lights on all the doors. All 4 doors have the lighting on the door handles. Auto dimming passenger side mirror. This is minor but a nice button you press that releases the coin compartment above your left knee on the driver side. The OEM cargo tray is one piece rather than 3 separate pieces on the NX. Cargo privacy shade is retractable unlike the flimsy mesh. That’s all I could think of lol
I only have the driver side one too. My RX had both. I was a little concerned I would be annoyed, but actually between the digital mirror and the driver's side mirror both doing a decent job reducing glare, I haven't really been bothered by glare from the passenger side. Would have been nice, but no frowny face on that from me.

I haven’t driven at night yet, oddly. So I’ll have to wait to confirm what looks like a tinted passenger mirror. The tint on both is subtle to my eye. Though there is a visible edge (seen but can't be felt) on the driver's side.

Passenger side --> you mean driver side right? My NX only has the driver's side..
Let me expand on the film on the drivers side mirror. I suspect it is the problem many are also aware of or haven't recognized. That mirror can have a "funhouse" mirror" or "distorted optically" and may cause a feeling of "nauseation" effect to vehicles seen in the mirror. I see it more at vehicles in mirror 5+ car lengths.
This is not my opinion only. This is on a 2024 RX 350 Premium Plus with film and heated mirror. While Lexus refused to acknowledged this as abnormal, the dealership was quoted above. The dealership did replace the "funhouse' mirror. It was really bad. They cannot get Lexus to replace with another replacement as this is not a "defect" and has been repaired under warranty to normal conditions (letter from Lexus). So distorted is the Lexus quality.
Let me back up - This is the most comfortable and fun driving vehicle I have had in my 40+ years of owning vehicles. This is my one nagging complaint. Nagging because it is always there. Lexus brand service representative said the driver's mirror wasn't a driving safety item.
Lexus has confirmed that this is "normal". I simply told them I would let those who didn't know: know. And those who are out there and complained and might have been told that wasn't a defect: it is true; it is "normal" for Lexus.
