Need some advice! Just got my 2024 NX250 not even a month and I have the worst scrapes after coming into contact with a concrete pilar in a parking garage. The scrapes are on the car door which totals to the side as well. I don’t know how to go about fixing this. Car auto man said it would cost 5k to fix the damages due to the cars aluminum(?) and that I should bring it up with my insurance. I’m young and I have no clue what I’m doing. Please if anyone has any advice, Id greatly appreciate it.
Yes, you need to go through your insurance on this one. You could talk to your dealership first to see if they have their own body shop. If they do, you could go through them.
My son did the same to my older Civic. In that case, we went cheap and had the dents filled and painted for pennies on the dollar and its still good many years later. But on a new Lexus, I would not go this route. Hard to see how bad damage is to the metal skin, but knowing the metal is pretty thin not only could the skin be dented but possibly internal support beams also, I would also go thru insurance and have it done with OEM replacement parts where needed to restore to pristine. Its worth it at this point in its life
Good time re-evaluate your insurance policy.... Do not skimp... pay now or pay later.

Sorry to see this... Welcome to Club Lexus. You might want to talk to your insurance company. Ask if it’s covered no penalties other than a deductible if there is one.
Depends. Do you want to pay out of pocket? You can probably get that fixed for 2-3k. The damage is mostly superficial and would only require some light finishing & filler then blend. This is at a "cheaper" shop. If you take it to a higher end shop, it could be more. You'll probably want to file a claim.
and no, there would be no damage to "internal support beams" in this case. based on your pics, this is all superficial damage to the skin. 98% of it is to the paint, even, and not even the door skin. the rear quarter is where the filler will be mostly needed, and even then, just a tiny amount.
this is mostly paint and some exterior skin damage which can easily be repaired.
if you check some of my threads a few yrs ago, my lexus got hit fairly hard by an actual vehicle and had zero damage to the "internal support beams." they just replaced the quarter skin and filled the door and resprayed. it takes a very powerful hit to even cause that type of damage.
Find a couple reputable (word of mouth) body shops in your area. Get an estimate from them, then decide if it's worth going through your insurance.
You can ask your insurance agent how filing a claim for a given amount will affect your rates.
