@AtomicLexus Thanks. I looked at them but never payed attention that the color was listed. I did see that there was no real information provided though. But I appreciate the response. Just need to make up my mind as to have it done or not.
After weighing the pros (blocks half the heat) and cons (high cost, getting a fixit ticket that requires you to remove your new investment although unlikely with a light color, and you see strange patterns while wearing polarized sun glasses) we decided to keep using the sunscreen when parked and I'm testing out different seat covers to stop the butt burn (I miss fabric seats so much). Other cars we made cool custom ones, but I'm getting lazy.

I'm leaning the same way. I was going to try and find a good sunscreen and use it for the windshield. I feel the side glass is adequate. I can't justify the cost when the car is a garage queen. It goes to town 3 times a week for lunch and back to the garage.
I appreciate the input and rationale. Makes better sense. THANKS
Digging up this old thread, as I'm seriously considering the windshield coated, perhaps with Spectra Photosync IRDS 70 film - for heat rejection.
For those of you have installed film on the windshield, do you know if it anyway affects the Lexus warranty ? Or prevents any of the ADAS sensors from functioning ?
While the legality question is clear, since these are relatively new vehicles, I'm researching whether the film affected any of its functionality or warranty.
