I just had installed by Lexus of Jacksonville a trailer hitch assembly with a rated towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. Also, at the time of purchase, I had the $160 towing capability accessory installed. Although I could have had the trailer hitch installed more cheaply elsewhere, I specifically wanted the installation done by a Lexus dealer as they were able to relocate the "power back door with kick sensor" and keep it operable. I have included a photo of the trailer hitch installation.
Thanks for posting the pic! The OEM hitch is pricey, but it sits higher than aftermarket options. The dealer also did a good job with cut-outs on the bumper.
Since you had a dealer install it, the receipt will contain the part numbers. Is it possible you could share the lexus part numbers? I believe someone had already posted the hitch part number but I don't think anyone posted the part number for the wiring kit (and any other parts related to the kick sensor).

THANKS. What year and model vehicle do you have? Just curious if the PN's are all NX models or only a 350 or something else.
Is the hitch the square in the photo? Is it NOT centered on the rear of the vehicle?
2022 Lexus NX 350h model. The hitch is absolutely centered in the rear of the vehicle. Any other position would not be dangerous, but also crazy and not something the Lexus dealership would do.

Okay, thanks. Based on the photo and the tires, it looked off center. The open space between the hitch and the wiring looked to be the center. Appreciate the info.
I called my local dealer a few days ago.Their wiring kit was pretty expensive and very labor intensive. Even called out removing the front windshield wipers for some reason!I can't recall the exact price but thought is was over $300 just for the wire kit. I just installed the e trailer hitch and wiring. Around $400 total. It was scary taking the interior apart on a week old car, But it went pretty smoothly. The hitch instal was very easy. Probably took 6 hours, If I did it again more like 3 hours.

Can you send me a scan of the hitch installation instructions. Unsure if I want to tackle the job without seeing what is involved? Or if anyone has a link online for it.

@fst It looks like they did NOT cut your plastic bumper. Can you tell me if they did? On another thread they shared a photo of one that was shredded. It looked like a 4 year old with scissors got a hold of it.
