I've have mind installed since I did my review 2.5 years ago and haven't had any issues. Like Droid13, the download of videos are a bit slow and I do pull the sdcard out and copy it to the computer.
If you want extreme UHD quality this won't the camera. But keep in mind that there are a lot of factors in addition to the lens and dynamic range of the lens. How clean is your windshield, the amount of light facing you etc.
The quality is definitely better than the Lexus one that is available in Canada. I believe the US one is newer and might be better. There are definitely better dashcams out there. OEM look vs a need for a sharp camera is really some you need to look at your priorities.
