My drivers side seat can be lifted up freely on the back corner closest to the door. It is bolted down tightly all around but seems to be broken there.

I took it out of the car and couldn't figure out what had gone wrong as nothing looked cracked or separated.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I havent heard of anyones seat breaking there. Did you figure it out?

 

No I have no clue it's broken at the back left rail, while its bolted in you can pull it up and down a lot! I also dont feel safe if there were an accident that it would keep me planted.
I noticed it the other day when I went to put something in the back seats and folded my seat down and it moved!

any idea what it could be?

 

Ive got the same thing! I can pull up the back right side, but the seat controls still function. Whats broken?

I tried looking at it but didnt see what was wrong, maybe the past owners were fat and they broke something?

 

My seat does it too...this week I'm going in to have a look-see. I'll report back if I find out what causes it.

 

there are two - 12mm bolts on each side holding the upper seat to the lower, maybe they got loose?

 

Either that or the bolt holdint it into the car rusted out.

 

yeah, come 2 think of it, the rich ba$trd that owned it before me was on the heafty side... Im guessing thats maybe why its broke. lol

 

It's not this as I bolted everything back down it was tight, I'll check the 12mm bolts under the seat

 

any ideas guys

 

It's not loose where the seat bolts to the floor, it's where the seat mates with the rails. How to fix it, I have no idea other than to take the seat out and see where the bottom and rails meet. I'm doing this myself this weekend.

Did you figure it out? Mine has the same problem. It lifts up from the back left.
