Where will my new car be assembled??
Seems like 90% of the 2023 NX 350h's are built in Canada. We bought one December of 2022 and it was built in Japan. Friend bought one two months later same vehicle same dealer and Canada. Most here on the forum have indicated Canada. If the vin # starts with a J Japan if a 2 Canada. lexus Winter park and Orlando have four in stock all Canada.
I was also working with Carl in Sarasota and Shaun in Melbourne. Shaun found me a rare vehicle and I jumped on it. It delivers from Japan 12-15 April.
Good luck with getting anything from any of the west coast Florida dealers.

I don't get the hate on for Canadian built vehicles. The Lexus RX plant here in Cambridge has built them since Gen 2 and has won all kinds of awards.. I've toured it, fantastic place. The NX line I believe is integrated with the Rav 4 line and they have also been renowned for building great cars (Corollas for many years and now the Rav 4 for years as well). There was another post here recently from Australia that showed some poor workmanship in assembly of the dashboard bits. That one was built in Japan. Toyotas are always ranked tops for assembly quality, longevity and resale value, no matter where they are built. Before they launched the gen 2 NX in Cambridge, the folks there were highly trained by their Japanese trainers who had experience with the early 2022 build over there where they worked the bugs out (like the missing welds). The folks here must adhere to the same high standards for quality. So again, what's the issue with Canadian built cars??
Congratulations, I hope it's close to what you were looking for? My wife and I, on the other hand, continue to wait having put our deposit down (early January this year) with another AutoNation dealer, this one in Tampa. The only consolation is that my wife currently drives a low mileage late model SUV with lots of bells and whistles. She just hates the seats! Anyway we are patiently waiting for our number to come up and not in any hurry. And we also have a possible backup in mind - a Lincoln Cosair - which is very nice with very comfortable seats. The bad news is that production of the car has been stopped for weeks due to software bugs and shortage of parts. Maybe it wasn't meant to be?
While I was searching for my lexus in florida , I contacted over 10 dealers through out the state. I had good luck with lexus of palm beach (oliver), I believe they were a Auto Nation as well. We almost pulled the trigger with them but ended going with lexus of Orlando.
