I did a rear brake job on my 2015 Lexus NX200t. Ordered the pads from Lexus (04466-78030) they came with colored markings. I studied them for 10 minutes, other then the brake material angle they are identical. Any clue what this means?

 

So one side of your brakes will have pads with more initial surface contact area.

Will be interesting to see how they wear over time?

Perhaps this brake pad set was part of a wear test study?
