Default Recommendation for Rear Brake Pads

Have 02 GS430 and rear brake pads will need replacement.

What do you have installed on yours and what would you recommend?

I got my Akebono ProACT pads from TireRack. Love em.

ive used akebono as well and it feels a little soft for me and good on brake dust. i went back with oem pads now but the brake dust is hectic.

go with OEM. not that expensive and a piece of mind.

i got akebono pro act i think... its ok haha cant really tell of they are good or not.. but i do know that they dont dust much.. or at all!

dont know if they are actual OEM but they are OE replacement type pads. you cant go wrong with them IMO.

Friend can get me Lexus OEM front pads for $52 (his price), best bet for daily driving?

You sure you have OEM pads? Mine produce very little to no dust at all.

I'm using EBC green stuff for the F/R... I like the way they stop with minimal fading.. of course you can't go wrong with stock pads either...

BTW you mean 02 GS430...

Thank you all for the input.. Looks like more are leaning toward the Akebono..

How about pad for a slotted/cross drilled rotor? Any recommendations? Still contemplating if i want to change the rotor also or just go with OEM rotor..

I always stick with OEM whenever possible. Nobody can make a better part for your car than the people who engineered it to begin with.
