Carista doesn't specifically say what all options you can choose until you actually buy it so I am not sure if the lights on with remote start is an option but I would bet it is.
I got the new OBDEleven for my Audi and this thing is SWEEEET. I love being able to use my iPhone to pull codes and do customization. VCDS is still top notch but I'm over lugging a laptop out my garage.

Not a fan of Carly as it's totally subscription based versus credits for ODB11 which I prefer as I barely use them.

While I cannot speak for the aftermarket kit being why Nigel's (and mine) DRLs work, let me clarify there are no high current relays in the module he and I use (DEI DBALL3), it would be software based logic that is enabling the DRLs and running lights. I also install remote starts as a hobby so I know on certain kits there is an output for running lights, but this is not it.

Curious to see how you like Carly, if only my ODB11 worked for Toyota, that would be heaven.

The vehicle is already 100% wired to remote start (as we know because of enform) idiots at Toyota/Lexus tied it into a subscription based service and turn it off once the trial is done and or if you continue to pay the $8 a month. So the hardware/wiring is already there. All this directed box is doing in theory is making the system think that the key is in the car to start it. That's why when you program it, you turn the car one once (not crank), shut it off, then turn it on again. It's literally a 20 second program once you unplug the correct harness and plug everything back together. It's just picking up the rolling code persay of the key/handshake of the vehicle. That's why it's so infuriating to me that Lexus/Toyota don't at least just make remote start an option with the FOB and if you want/need remote start with a phone/app..etc., THEN you pay for the subscription service.

I'll have a look in Tech Stream this week to see, but I'm fairly certain I did not change any setting regarding lights. I did change the turn signal volume/number of flashes, and unlock on the keyfob makes all the windows go down. But I didn't touch anything with remote start settings, even though there is an option for remote start Enable/Disable. But that has nothing to do with any new vehicle that is enform based.

Nigel, it is a bit more than just an immobilizer bypass, it does do some communication via the CAN so we can do other things like: door lock/unlock, door trigger status, trunk pop, trunk status, and even fault codes (I have Viper SmartStart). But you did nail the gist of it.

It's been awhile but only thing customizable I saw on techstream for lights is to disable/enable DRL when vehicle is running (not clear whether remote start counts as running).

Interesting, thanks for the detailed replies. It has to be an option that by default isn't on is the only thing I can come up with.
