Headlamps on with remote start?
Hi,
First post here. My wife asked if there was a way to turn on the lights when the vehicle (NX 2019) is remotely started to give her some illumination for safety. I didn’t see anything in vehicle customization but thought I would try this group.

Nope, I leave my headlights on Auto and tried it in the on position, without luck.
On my 2005 RX330 which I also have a remote start, you are correct, on Auto the headlight will come on in darkness. Technically it shouldn't but I didn't hookup the auto headlight kill to the bypass.
The reason for this on remote started cars is how the auto light triggers off. If you remote start, forget about it, and don't enter your car the headlights will stay on in Auto mode, thus draining your battery. It'll trigger off in two ways, drivers door open or 30/60 seconds after drivers door opens.
