Default Lexus Nx200t lost sound

My 2016 NX 200t has lost all sound. The volume indicator numbers do not show on display, no response with hands free calling, incoming call is shown but absolutely no sound. I've disconnected the battery for 10 mins on advice from Lexus service which is 3 hours away. I've checked mute button and not a mute issue. I've depressed the volume button and reset the screen. No fixers so far, I did find a fuse for the amp which was good. It actually came on perfectly after starting it once but then stopped again the next day. My temperature indicator (small screen on left) as well as my control dial for the menu has also stopped working once or twice . I would like to think it's a simple fix but might just have to drive to the dealer. I luckily have a Platinum extended warranty that should cover it. Any suggestions would be welcome. If there is a thread started with some answers, the moderator can re-direct me.

If you're not having any luck with the battery and screen reset, looks like you might have no choice but to bring it in the dealer.

Make sure to record the issues on your phone so you show it should the dealer "can not replicate" the problem

There's an old thread regarding the navigation/audio issues and looks like the dealer had to replace the malfunction components:

Thanks. It actually sounds a bit the issue in the thread you referred me to. I think it's beyond a simple reset. I plan to visit the dealer next week I'll post the follow-up results. thanks.
