Can I program it to work with a 2018 Lexus NX myself?

did you buy your car as brand new from Lexus or from private? If you purchased the car from Lexus dealer, I am sure they should provide you the card key. The card key only allows you to open doors and tailgate by hands. I bought my car as second car from Lexus dealer in Australia and they provided 2 keys plus a card key. I found that card key sometimes works Ok and sometimes it does not.

I don't think you can program to make the card key communicate with the car's computer. This job should be done by the dealer..

You would need Tech Stream in order to program new keys or the credit card style key. You could then also delete keys or modify them. If you don't have Tech Stream then you would go to the dealer so that they could program and cut the key for you.
