NX pricing
I am about to purchase my first Lexus. I'm looking at a base model 2020 NX. I would certainly consider a 2019, however I doubt there are many still around and I need a specific color.
Not considering rebates, what could one expect to get off "sticker price"? This will be a cash deal, no trade in.
thanks,

OK thanks. Do rebates on the NX come and go pretty often? I feel the last week of the year may be a good time to pick up a deal, but if no rebate in this region I may be better off waiting a while into next year.
I would check with your dealer or go to Lexus.com or Edmunds to find out if there is a rebate in your region. Traditionally, Lexus offer rebates about twice a year and the end of the year is usually the best deals on Lexus.

Lexus.com is not showing rebates for my region but Edmunds is showing $2K. Their "True Market Value" price reflecting this rebate gets the selling price to about $2000 off invoice and $3500 off MSRP. Being the end of the month and the end of the year it will be interesting to see what dealers will do. I just wonder if they will still give a good deal on a special order car as opposed to one that's setting on the lot??

Consider Costco car buying service. They will get you whatever you want, and give you all the rebates and 'deals'. I was looking at an F-sport, ultrasonic blue, premium package and Nav (extremely rare combination). It ended up being almost 6K off sticker via Costco pricing. If I removed the Nav, it was still almost 6K off sticker. I am not sure how it works, but the internet manager at one of the Lexus dealers was the 'costco' representative for Phoenix (my city), and he said he can get any new car, color, and package, and it would be easier for him to trade for the car while it is still on the boat and get it diverted if they did not have what was on the lot. Apparently most cities have a 'costco' preferred dealership and they can easily deal with each other.
I ended up getting a 2018 (slightly over 1 year old) L-certified (so I actually have a longer warrantee than new) because it ended up being another 8K less than Costco price for new. In actual fact the guy that I was dealing with via Costco saw the car in the computer that I wanted, and told me that was a great deal and I should get it.

Deven, you might want to change your signature from 2011 Ranger Rover Sport Supercharged to 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. As far as Costco car buying service, they can only get you whats on the boat and whats on the ground. Any dealer can do that as well. I do find that Costco does streamline the buying process and makes it much easier but with all the info out there in the internet these days, it is not hard to find a good price.
Haha, thanks G Man. Who knows how long I had that typo.
Yes, any dealer can do what Costco does, but from 'experience' (and not just with Lexus), certain dealers in certain locations (like where I live) refuse to negotiate maximally especially when inventory flies of the shelf and when they are asked to get a specific car. Costco removes the legwork, and the biggest advantage is saving on shipping costs if you buy from an out of state dealer. 5 of the 6 cars in my sig where obtained out of state because local dealers did not care to even come close and match. They even went out of the way to tell me to get the car from out of state and come to their dealer to get the vehicle serviced.
