Default Transmission Jerking

Has anyone experienced a rougher than normal transmission when it shifts gears? It seems to be the worst when switching from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th gears. I took it to the dealership and they say the transmission is fighting with the turbo and that is normal. I refuse to believe that is true! I was provided an RX as a loaner and the shifts were silky smooth. This has become so embarrassing because the car noticeably jerks from the outside view. Anyone?

Our 2015 has very smooth shifts. Has the battery been disconnected or replaced recently? It may be the computers relearning.

Test drive another NX see if it does the same. Is it jerky during normal acceleration or does it only jerk during hard acceleration?

Have not done anything with the battery at all.

Good call. My 10k service is coming up and will do that. The Jerkiness occurs randomly and not always due to hard acceleration ( i am light footed) and mostly go up to 2.5k rpm. I will say this though, when driving side by side with other cars there is a very noticeable jerk. My car jerks noticeably while the other car is smooth. Even rode next to another NX and same result.

I will say no amount of jerking, particularly noticeable from the outside, is normal at any time or in any fashion. Can you replicate it easily and get it on video?

I feel this daily whenever my wife is driving...it drives me crazy but as passenger I ****...plus its my wife. when I drive it feels silky smooth. so initial answer is driving technique...but not ruling out engine issues.

If you get on the throttle right at the point of shifting, it will sometimes produce a less than smooth shift...especially if you back off and then back on.

I’m experiencing the same issue with my ES 350, 2020. I currently have a RX loaner car and the acceleration isn’t sticking or jerking, but smooth. The dealership is telling me the same thing, that the delay in acceleration is normal. I call BS. A delay and jerking in acceleration is not normal. However, they are denying anything is wrong. This is my third time taking it to the dealership within the past 3 months.
