Does anybody know the easiest way to get the amp wiring through the firewall? i see a factory wiring with a grommet on the drivers side but it looks almost impossible to get to. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
So after more than a year i decided to finally do a sub and amp.
I went with:
2x 12” JL Audio W0v3 Subwoofers
Hertz HCP 1DK Class D Mono Amplifier
AudioControl LC2i
AudioControl Bass Remote Control ****
Stinger Elite 4 Gauge Amplifier Wiring Kit
Did everything all by myself, still waiting for the bass **** to come in but i might not need it as the factory bass adjustment on the infotainment still works. Here are some pictures
Not yet unfortunately, I've been busy the last 2 weekends. And I'm hoping to finish organizing my garage, so the NX will fit inside. I'd much prefer to do the work indoors this time of year. Will make progress soon I hope.
Did you ever get a chance to upgrade the sub and the Amp? Curious if it improved the sound at all. I just bought a 2018 NX with Nav and the 10 speaker system (not ML) and personally I find it to be awful. Id rather just replace the existing stuff rather than add new and re-run a ton of wiring.
