After the last few updates on my Samsung Galaxy s8+, my car isn't reading out loud the right text message anymore. A new text will pop up and show me who it is, but when it reads it it's the wrong message. I then check and look in the folder "messages" under the phone option that the message isn't even in there yet. What gives? It use to work and now it seems to not be refreshing fast enough. I do not have the navigation option. The default Samsung text app never works so I switched to Google messages and it rarely works also. Pretty frustrating and when I looked online it appears there are no updates to the radio system.

Anyone else dealing with this? Thanks!

 

Have the pixel 2 with android 8.1 and google messages no issues with wrong messages being read just very slow to open them. Maybe try repairing the phone with car by removing the phone from the cars saved devices list and the car from the phones saved devices list?

 

Do you have a lot of messages or message threads (messages in the thousands)? That can cause issues with Lexus systems.

 

I will look at the message count and see if that is it. I have also read that having a power save mode on can cause issues too. It didn't before, but I do use it.
