Default new brake pads

hi all,
just wonder if any have already changed their brake pads. Any recommendations?

Not yet...but unless you have specific problems with the pads you have now (brake fade or bad dusting), stick with OEM.

Mine is almost due and I’m looking into the Power Stop Evolution sport pads Z231324 for the front and Power Stop Evolution sport pads Z231805 for the rear.

Im still reading up in those pads. I wanted something better than OEM with extra bite and feel. If anyone ever used those pads for any of their cars, please give us your opinion on them.

I always used Hawks HPS for all my other cars but they don’t make it for the NX.

Hawk HPS pads never have more bite than OEM...I doubt the powerstops will either. Most sport pads like this trade initial bite and quietness for less dust, less fade, and more overall stopping power (hardly any actual extra stopping power mind you).

I'm currently running EBC yellowstuff pads with EBC USR slotted rotors up front. Like the comment above mine mentioned, you actually lose initial bite in exchange for less fade. Overall stopping power *might* have improved, but do know that the OEM pads are more than capable of locking the tires up. It's all a matter of evaluating whether you really need the added fade resistance and more gradual bite or not. Cheers

Donno about fade. My NX has about the best braking power I ever had in many cars. At 24 000 miles, pads are about at 75%, I checked not so long ago. Now, wife's 2011 RX350 does have that annoying mushy feel to brakes, just like we had in 99 RX300, but stops fine.
