Well some people have slammed their NX's put body kits, added 22" rims with /35 profile tires.. to me that's pretty much ruining a perfectly capable luxury compact SUV. To each to their own. Coming from a much lower DC2 in my younger years, I am very happy with the stock height of the NX, but a lift would be nice to clear some obstacles.
Everyone has different uses for their personal car, and those uses will lead to different customizations. As an enthusiast is not just a car anymore, but an extension of one's personality and lifestyle. Don't worry about what others do to their car and how they intend to use it. I would drive a Bugatti to buy groceries if I had that kind of money, I dont care..
You can always call around to different performance shops in Vegas and as for anyone who has Off-Road Fabrication experience, or if they know one. The right shop can custom make everything you'll need, from a small top hat spacer for a 1-2" lift, and skid plates.armor so you don't beat up the under-carriage should you find yourself on a rougher trail in the hills/mountains around Vegas. Its your car, and your money on the table, Any SUV, or even car with AWD/4WD can easily be made trail worthy for some extra weekend fun. Not everyone lives in back country, or needs to traverse extreme crawling/submersive terrain and needs a purpose built toy to have occasional fun or go camping.
Good luck with your Off-Road prep, and have fun on the trails!
I'll be interested to hear how this comes out! I was under the impression that the AWD in the NX doesn't lend itself to off roars at all. I would love to be wrong.
Does anyone have any mods done to their NX for Off-Road? One of the reasons why I got the AWD model is because I wanted to eventually take my car out for some light-medium off-reading. Nothing crazy like Jeep people, but I live in Vegas and there are a lot of trails that most AWD and 4WD cars can handle stock. I'd like to make my NX a bit better than them!
Bringing this thread back to life...wondering if you had gotten any luck in finding any manufacturer that provide suspension lift for the NX?

As someone else mentioned, I would reach out to a company that sells a lift kit for the Rav4. Take pictures of your shock towers to check if they are the same. You can probably do a 2inch spacer lift that goes between the shock tower and the body. People on here are saying that this is the wrong platform for it but whatever. I had a 2 inch lift on a 1st gen CRV with A/T tires and I was one of the very few cars on the road during a blizzard we had here in Seattle. We have an offroad course here and Ive seen people do it in lifted Subaru Crosstreks, lifted Golfs, and even a first gen Highlander with just A/T tires on the factory wheels.

Anything that fits the 13-18 RAV4 ought to work. Both the RAV4 and the NX's front and rear subframes and front strut mounts are identical. Depending on how much you plan to lift your vehicle, getting one of the more complete and $$$ kits (like this) that fix the fore-aft alignment of the rear trailing arms and extend the brake line brackets might be a good idea.
I'm reasonably confident about compatibility after doing the opposite and going lower with RAV4-intended Bilstein struts and dampers, Sachs strut mounts, and other parts.
Please do post pics once you're done! Also, kayumanggi... pinoy?

Yeah, a buddy of mine is getting an Eibach lift on his '20 RAV4. Going to see if that would fit on the NX300.

Yes sir, pinoy!
Nice! 2020 would definitely not fit, since that's the 5th generation RAV4. You'd need something for the 4th generation, which ran from 2013 to 2018. The coming 2022 NX ought to smoothly take parts from the 2020 RAV4. Cheers
yup, i follow him and messaged him. his nx looks great even with no lift just knc 17x8 wheels with AT tires 245/65/17 and no rub (supposedly).
yeah, i never would have thought AT tires would look nice on an NX, but he changed my mind. i found a subaru forester forum that uses falken wildpeak AT tires that are close to our 18" wheel specs and they are reporting both positive on and off road characteristics. my 4runner might have a little brother!
Thought I would add to this thread in 2022 since it doesn't look like much has been added or updated. I added Falken Wildpeak 255/55R 18" tires on my 2018 Lexus NX. They handle great, no rub, no noise. I also added a hitch and kept the kick sensor too. Added a swingbar from Dirt Complex to carry the spare and installed my own Rhino Rack pioneer roof platform. I take it on dirt roads with no problem. Wouldn't mind a 2" lift for a bit more ground clearance. See pics for reference.
