My issue is my car keeps having low rpm at idle, in gear, and with foot in the break. And it's causing a wicked vibration that can be felt in the brake pedal.
I already did everything else except clean the throttle body/throttle plate.
Usually it's at the end of the air line but I don't see one at all. Where the heck is the throttle body in this car?? A picture or even a description would help loads.
Thanks in advance. I looked up videos and forums and apparently nobody else has ever had this question or made a video about cleaning throttle body in 2015 Lexus nx 200t...
It may be time for "Plan B".
The NX throttle body is bolted to the intercooler low on the firewall-side of the engine, below the intake manifold, and not even visible from above. It is item *6 in the attached drawing.
To access the throttle body, the factory repair manual instructs to first remove the exhaust pipe, and for AWD models, a front drive shaft, then reach up from below.

I sincerely appreciate that bro, but let me ask you.. Does nobody clean the throttle body on these??? Who the hell designed this lol.
With all the extra blow-by oil resulting from high cylinder pressures (direct injection plus turbocharger), I would expect the throttle body to require cleaning more often than a normally-aspirated engine. It might be worthwhile to ask what an independent shop would charge. Some IS owners with the same engine report to have been quoted $300 (and up) by their dealer.. These same dealers have also recommended throttle body cleaning every 30K miles.
The same crew designed this component placement that brought you the 1940-style oil filter canister, fuel filter only accessible by removing the tank, and rear brake pads that require a scan tool to replace. All "features" intended primarily to discourage owners from performing their own routine maintenance, and just a few of the numerous reasons I will never purchase another Lexus vehicle.
I put a bottle of BG44k or Techron in my tank perhaps once a month. I'm hoping it's going to help with this.
I put a bottle of regane in the tank with "advanced pea" did nothing because when I'm on the brake in gear I feel heavy vibration through the brake pedal and my rpm is 630 according to blue driver.

Do you use it on a regular basis, or did you just put it in the ONE TIME ? Putting it in one time will have little/no effect. I'm of the opinion it has to be done on a somewhat regular basis.
Regardless, I do agree with your approach to clean the throttle body. I think there's an excellent chance that will resolve your issue (in my opinion).
