Does the NX have much in the way of ambient lighting in its interior? I'm in the market by the end of the year for a smaller SUV and have seen the gorgeous interior lighting in the GLC. There are areas of the dash, doors and centre console that have blue LED lights that look great. Does the NX have anything similar?

 

No, it does not.

Yeah its a 3rd party aftermarket install. There's different options if you want to go that route. But, I think the OP is asking about options from the factory.

 

I never see japanese car manufacturers make interior ambient lightings in their car and lexus as well. Maybe they dont like it ) or maybe it spent wire and led bulbs. Europe car like audi bmw mer Land Rover make it.

 

That's too bad. I believe that the RC as some ambient light in the doors.

 

ES (Ultra Luxury Package), GS, LS, RX (Luxury Package), LX, and RC all have ambient lighting. Unfortunately it's unavailable for the NX...maybe the refreshed 2018MY has it.

Also, just FYI...ambient lighting isn't standard on the GLC; it's part of a $5000 optional package. Be prepared to spend a lot more on the GLC to get a nicely optioned one.

 

Thanks and yes I knew that the ambient interior lighting is extra cost as is almost everything else on the GLC. But at least Mercedes makes it available. I wish Lexus would make these types of things available for those of us who would like to have them even at extra cost.

they also sell a version for ES as well. I spend over 2 hours to find how to attach the wire inside the door. But anyway my nx is awesome now i can push the button to change the colour. Just push the button twice and 4 doors will change the color automatically. Look more luxury
