watched some news regarding car jacking which got me thinking. With our car fob in our pockets and a thief takes your car...would the cars engine automatically shut down after a certain amount of time? I know my car beeps when i leave temporarily say to take out the garbage but just wondering after a few blocks if it would (hopefully) just turn off automatically.

 

I don't believe so, like other cars I had with the fob, it likely runs until the engine is shut off.

 

that's what happened to at least one person here. Started car, went back into the house to get something and left the FOB at home. Drove off. When they tried to restart the car later, realized the FOB was at home.
