Default 🌎 Does App Suite Work When Enform Expires? 🕗

If I let my soon-to-expire Enform subscription expire, will apps like Destination Search, Pandora, OpenTable, etc. still work?

The Enform App Suite is free forever. So you don't need an active subscription to the other services. You will need an active Enform subscription if you want your remote start feature from both your fob and phone to continue working.

I hope I'm not stealing this thread, but it seems like NXOwner got the answer that was needed.

Do you (or anyone else) use the Enform apps all that much? I never have until very recently, when I tried out the Pandora app. Until then, I just listened to the playlists on my phone, using Bluetooth. I would occasionally use Pandora (or Spotify) apps on the phone without the Enform Apps. It works pretty much without issue, but you do lose a LITTLE functionality.

I decided to try the Enform apps to minimize interaction with my phone (I prefer to just keep it in my pocket while driving). Once I got it set up, it was OK the first time, but the connectivity seems a bit fragile. The first day I was getting an error indicating "insufficient connectivity". I resolved that error, but now I'm getting occasional "tether errors", and have to reset the app on my phone to restore connectivity. It's happened 3 times already this week!

It just seems like a lot of effort to use the apps, and not much reward, and I wondered if I'm alone iwith my assessment

I don't really use the Enform App Suite. Drains my battery faster than just streaming through Bluetooth. Plus most of the apps aren't that useful to me. The ones I use are Destination Search, maybe Yelp, and rarely Fuel Guide. I wish Lexus would include more apps like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Waze. The most useful app currently is Destination Search for when Destination Assist part of the Enform subscription expires. You don't need to waste time entering an address when in the car.

How often do you guys reboot your phone? I reboot mine every night before going to sleep just to keep it "clean".

Having said that, I never have any issues with the Lexus App Suite programs (and I'm glad I can keep using them when my Enform expires). I don't worry about battery drain because I just lay it on the wireless charger and it keeps the battery at a fairly constant level.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4, what are you guys using?

Another Enform expiration question ...

Will the weather display still work and update if I let my Enform subscription expire?

Yes. It uses HD radio signals to update info for traffic and weather.

Woodrow - Be sure to sweep off the Pandora App in your phone when using Lexus App Suite. If it is playing
on your phone, the phone is controlling the app. If it is off in your phone then the LAS is controlling it. Either
way it is your data plan at work. Be sure to keep LAS open in the background.
LAS also provides the Weather Channel and Traffic Info updates if you rarely listen to terrestrial HD AM or FM
stations.

Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it!

I drive the the same route to work everyday. It seems like about 50% of time, I have issues with the Pandora app in the LAS. "Insufficient connectivity " is the most common error, but sometimes it simply doesn't connect, and I have to find a ways to restart the app. Sometimes on my phone, and sometimes Enform. Sometimes it forgets my logon so I have to log back in manually, but you can't while driving. I figured out early on, that it gets confused if I have Pandora open on my phone, and get in the car expecting o use Enform. I also don't like that I have to use USB (not Bluetooth) when I plug the phone in to use Waze. Once I do that, I have to plug it in every time, or go back to Bluetooth manually. The entire package just seems unreliable and clumsy. I can't figure out why Lexus can't make it seemless. Maybe my expectations are too high.

You should let the phone do all the work, open LEAS, Waze and let Bluetooth do both.
Please charge the electron hungry traffic app with a 12v charger adapter plug, not the
USB jack. Not only is the 500 milliamp (0.5 amp) limit too low, it also glitches the transitions
from USB Waze to Bluetooth phone to USB iTunes... Use the USB ports for non-phone
devices such as an iPod stuffed with music. That configuration can then be commanded
verbally! "Play Artist Eric Clapton"
